January 10: A Message to Current Students
January 10, 2022
Dear Students,
During the past week, as we prepared to return for the Spring semester, the Office of 国产哟哟 has been contacted by students with concerns regarding the current COVID-19 surge. We have received your emails, phone calls, and processed the thoughts you have shared on the BPU App.
国产哟哟 is moving forward with on-campus learning for the upcoming semester while continuing to be committed to the health and well-being of our entire community. Our policy continues to mandate vaccinations for faculty, staff, and students, with the added requirement that all community members receive their COVID-19 booster by February 1, 2022, or when they become eligible. Our community will continue to be mask-mandatory when indoors, and we encourage everyone to be diligent with handwashing and hand sanitizing stations.
Additionally, we require all community members to complete the symptom trackers with honesty and accuracy each day. This will help keep each other safe and stop the possible spread of Covid-19 to others. Should you be experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, you must select ‘yes’ when submitting your symptom tracker and then remain home. Any student who reports symptoms will be granted an exemption from attending class in-person until they are cleared to do so from Health Services. Please work with your professors individually for appropriate accommodations.
We understand that each member of our community has been affected by this pandemic differently, and know that it is still far from over. As we continue to navigate this period of time, please be aware of the following resources:
Health Services - healthservices@baypath.edu
Our interim Director of Health Services and Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Alecia Bryan, will be here on campus Monday through Thursday 10 am - 5 pm starting January 18th. To speak with Health Services or to make an appointment on or after the 18th, please call 413.565.1392
Counseling Services - healthservices@baypath.edu
Our recent partnership with River Valley Counseling Center (RVCC) allows students to work with a mental health counselor either in person or via telehealth appointment. RVCC will assist students with finding a provider or prescriber, depending on need. You may also register with Uwill, a leading mental health platform for colleges and universities. This service will provide free telemental health counseling for all undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of their location.
AccessAbility Services - accessibility@baypath.edu
For students who may have a diagnosis that would affect their academic progress during COVID-19, we encourage you to work with AccessAbility Services to determine what reasonable accommodations can be put in place.
Advising - advising@baypath.edu
With the unification of our undergraduate residential college and The American Women’s College, 国产哟哟 offers significant online learning opportunities. If you are interested in moving your coursework from in-person to a virtual offering, we encourage you to be in touch with the Advising team to discuss your options.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns, we are here to help!
