Kathleen Holloway, Ed.D.

Adjunct Faculty

AS, Northeast Community College; BS, Nicholls State University; MEd, Nicholls State University; EdD, Benedictine University

I am a doctoral graduate from the Higher Education and Organizational Change program from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. I completed my doctoral internship and dissertation with the University of Louisiana Systems office. The internship centered on teacher education preparation policy. My dissertation was titled “The Impact of Economic Change on Employment Outcomes and Career Choice of Doctoral Graduates in Education from Louisiana Universities.”

Prior to enrolling in the doctoral program, I worked in positions that involved research, evaluation, assessment, and strategic planning. I have worked as an Evaluation Specialist for philanthropic organizations and for the State of Louisiana, as a Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, and a Research Associate for a state funded grant.

My role in these positions required analysis of large data sets; construction and administration of surveys; and the creation and implementation of new systems, forms, documents, presentations and reports for varied constituents.

These positions required me to interact and work collaboratively with a wide-range of audiences from state entities, regional accreditation agencies, system offices, and college and university personnel. I am a life-long learner and look for ways to improve myself and my professional work.

I enjoy project management and organizational change initiatives. As a director of institutional research and effectiveness, I learned how research and evaluation are important aspects of organizational change. I am motivated to continue my career using my skills, experience, and education to affect institutional change and improvements.
