Lora Perez, MS

Adjunct professor and CSME

BS and MS forensic science from 国产哟哟

Lora's teaching experience started in High school grades 9-12, for multiple science courses, including Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Forensic science, and Earth and Space. Her teaching experience continues with courses for The American Women's College, including general/introductory biology as well as anatomy and physiology 1 and 2. All of the courses she has taught, and continues to teach require a lab component which she also teaches alongside the lectures. Furthermore, she has taught in various modalities including in person (traditional) and online. Her student reviews at TAWC highlight her patience and supportive approach to teaching.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Lora also has experience in curriculum development. She specifically is working with TAWC on a project to develop adaptive learning modules for anatomy and physiology students. The work started with her creating a detailed list of learning objectives and a series of sub-activities that fell under each objective. This project then required that she learn and use (1) Open Educational Resources (OER) to support the learning necessitated by each activity and (2) a particular technology platform in which the adaptive learning experience is programmed, together to create self-paced and individualized learning activities for the students.
