The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) graduate program is set to host the 3rd Annual Trauma-Informed Practice in Applied Behavior Analysis Conference on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The fully online event will bring together experts from across the country to explore the latest advancements in trauma-informed ABA practices. With hundreds of registrants already signed up and registration still open, the conference promises to be a dynamic forum for professionals and students alike.
The event will feature 13 distinguished presenters who will discuss various topics related to the integration of trauma-informed approaches into ABA. Among the notable speakers are Mecayela Monroe G’24 and Gabriella Gonzalez Moran G’19, graduates of 国产哟哟’s ABA program and now Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Their presentation will focus on using a task list to promote cultural humility, mutual collaboration, and respect in multidisciplinary teams within school settings.
Another notable presenter is Dr. Kimberly Crosland, Ph.D., BCBA-D who is a professor of ABA in the Department of Child and Family Studies at the University of South Florida. She will be discussing the use of trauma-informed ABA practices in foster Care to improve placement stability and decrease runaway behavior.
