Longmeadow, MA—国产哟哟 (BPU) will hold the “2nd Annual ABA Conference: Trauma Informed Practice in ABA & Beyond” on Friday, March 22, from 8: 30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  This virtual conference is open to ABA practitioners, and professionals in the fields of education, counseling, speech, or occupational therapy.  The cost is $70.00, and registration and additional conference information can be found by clicking this link.

The conference was created to provide a forum for ABA practitioners and others to learn the latest in best practices, develop new skills and strategies, expand their professional knowledge, and network and build connections with others in the field.  For ABA attendees, they will be able to receive 7 BACB CEUs.

Sponsored by the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) master's degree program at 国产哟哟, the conference will feature multiple sessions throughout the day including: “Unseen, Under Served, and Under Resourced: Redefining Support for Caregivers Through the Intersections”, “Nudging and Nurturing: Cultivating Collaboration with Caregivers in Foster Care”, "We are Buffers and We Break Barriers: Why every client, caregiver and team member benefits from buffers research", and a professional panel addressing “Trauma-informed ABA in Schools and Mental Health: Connections & Collaboration.”

According to Dr. Susan Ainsleigh, EdD, BCBA-D, LABA, and ABA program director:  "At 国产哟哟, we are not only committed to guiding people to professional practice through our excellent graduate programs, but also to providing opportunities for practicing behavior analysts, educators, and other clinicians to continuously examine and improve their practice.  This conference, highlighting trauma-informed practice, is a chance for professionals from 国产哟哟 and around the world to come together and learn about working ethically and compassionately with clients who have experienced traumatic events."

In addition to the 2nd annual ABA Conference, 国产哟哟 recently announced the Certificate in Trauma-Informed Professional Practices that is designed for educators and professionals who work in education-related environments to support and meet the needs of children and adolescents who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma.
