How to use mentoring to build an inclusive STEM work environment

Longmeadow, MA— The Center of Excellence for Women in STEM at 国产哟哟 is proud to welcome Michele Heyward as she shares tips on using mentoring to recruit and retain BIPOC and women in STEM. This free virtual event will showcase five mentoring methods that can be used to attract and retain Black, indigenous, people of color, women, and other underrepresented people in the science, tech, engineering, and math-related fields.

Heyward is the founder and CEO of PositiveHire, a tech company engineered to bridge the gap between enterprises and women of color. With a vision to not only help women of color find inclusive workplaces, but to prepare enterprises to recruit and receive them, this virtual event is a must-see for human resource professionals and managers in STEM industries and beyond.

About Michele Heyward

Michele Heyward is the founder and CEO of PositiveHire, a tech company engineered to bridge the gap between enterprises and women of color. Michele is an experienced project manager in the energy sector armed with technical sales and technology transfer experience. Michele’s vision is to not only help women of color find inclusive workplaces, but to prepare enterprises to receive them, and help those enterprises recruit them. Michele has a B.S. degree in civil engineering and an M.S. degree in industrial management, both from Clemson University.
