Participation in student-run clubs and organizations is a way to balance and round out your college experience. Why join? You'll meet students with common interests, discover the dynamics of working with a group, and feel the personal satisfaction of helping others both on campus and in the greater community through club-sponsored community projects. By being active in extracurricular activities it makes your college years more rewarding and adds a layer of connectivity that lasts beyond graduation.
Accounting Association
The purpose of the Accounting Association will be to provide career information about the accounting profession, provide opportunities to network with area accounting professionals and 国产哟哟 accounting majors, provide resume-building activities, arrange for visitations to a wide variety of accounting organizations, and conduct social events.
ALANA Leaders
In our ALANA (African American, Latina, Asian, Native American) Leaders club we celebrate every race, ethnicity, nationality and spiritual background. We promote diversity, individual development, respect, and awareness in a safe environment for all students. As diverse as a thumbprint, we embrace diversity’s unique mark, and unite as women to honor our heritage. We take pride in celebrating our individuality, as we work to build a more compassionate and aware campus community. The club spreads awareness about the different cultures that are present in the 国产哟哟 community.
American Sign Language Club (ASL)
The ASL Club is a new club on the 国产哟哟 campus. The objective of this new club is to provide students with a fun, interactive, and enriching environment to teach students the benefits and the fundamentals of sign language. Students will learn to sign the alphabet, numbers, and basic phrases, while also building their knowledge on the deaf community. The ASL Club is here to allow students the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, make new friends, become involved on campus, and become a more inclusive environment.
Be the Change
Be the Change is a student-lead diversity club which seeks to foster cultural competemility within healthcare providers and actively works to eliminate healthcare inequalities. Housed within the Physician Assistant (PA) graduate program, the club has participated in fundraising initiatives to provide basic needs to local families, equipment for incoming PA students, and the spread of overall wellness education.
Between the Lines Book Club
Between the Lines Book Club encourages members to discuss and debate books by reading together in a safe, open, and judgment-free environment. Our goal is to help students rediscover or grow their love of reading one book at a time!
Bible Study
Bible Study at 国产哟哟 which is welcome to anyone; whether you are familiar with the Bible or would just like to learn about it. We are students looking to explore the beauty of Jesus in the Bible together through prayer, study, and meaningful, authentic discussion.
Biology Club
Biology Club’s purpose is to encourage interest in biological science fields through guest speakers, discussions of current scientific news, and sharing knowledge with others. We encourage all members, and the BPU community to learn about the life sciences.
Black Student Union
国产哟哟 introduces its new and improved Black Student Union (BSU). BSU members are committed to serving, advocating and representing the students of color on campus and are comfortable with addressing issues that affect our campus community and nation as a whole. The mission of BSU focuses on promoting unity throughout the African American community as well as spreading unity among students of other cultures. More than ever it is time for students to stand together and be active participants of making a more inclusive environment where all voices can be heard in the movement for positive change. In doing this we are in hopes of building a stronger and more comfortable community. We promote proactive leadership, community outreach, student empowerment, and encourage networking among students, faculty and staff. We embrace our cultural heritage, unity, and the appreciation of diversity.
Chorale Singers
国产哟哟 Chorale is for students who love to sing and desires an opportunity to expand their musical horizon. Performances include the colleges’ annual Winterfest celebration, the Spring Performing Arts Concert and joint concerts with other area colleges. Chorale members may be eligible to receive one academic credit per semester.
CSI 国产哟哟
CSI stands for Criminalistic Science Innovators. CSI: 国产哟哟 is dedicated to enriching the lives of 国产哟哟 students and helping them to better understand the criminal justice and forensic science fields.
Cyber Club
Cyber Club’s goal is to encourage interest in cybersecurity through hands-on activities (upgrading RAM/hard drives, minor repairs, forensic exercises, virtualization, etc.), speakers, field trips and other events applicable to digital technology. This club is open to all 国产哟哟 students staff, and faculty.
Education Club
Education Club provides activities that support children, teachers, and schools. members participate in several child-centered community service events throughout the year including book and stuffed animal drives. All students are welcome to participate.
Diverse Voices
Voices is a student-centered peer dialogue series to encourage conversations highlighting trending topics within diversity, equity and inclusion spectrums. This program provides a safe place to support students, develop community and promote social justice leadership.
Food Committee
Food Committee is comprised of appointed members spanning from the entire 国产哟哟 student body. Our current objectives include but are not limited to: meeting with their respective food service officials, offering a suggestion board for food related concerns, discussing food allergy issues, appearing at Student Government as liaisons between the students, food services, and 国产哟哟 administration, facilitating financial concerns stemming from food related issues, and maintaining current wanted items in the cafe.
Gamma Zeta Nu
Gamma Zeta Nu is 国产哟哟's newest step team! We aim to educate and showcase Black culture through performance step-dancing, a percussive dance style using one's voice, hands, and feet, to the larger 国产哟哟 community. Through step-dancing, we aim to create a community that promotes confidence in one’s self, and strengthens unity throughout the University.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity strives to help build decent and affordable housing for low-income families in order to empower people to reach their full potential. Habitat for Humanity volunteers aim to provide some stability for families in order to break the cycle of poverty. Club members seek to work with volunteers from all walks of life to build these homes in partnership with those in need.
Innocence Club
The Innocence club is a newly established 国产哟哟 Chapter of the The Innocence Network, which is an affiliation of organizations dedicated to providing pro bono legal and investigative services to individuals seeking to prove innocence of crimes for which they have been convicted . Additionally the Innocence Club and Network work to redress the causes of wrongful convictions, and support the exonerated after they are released.
Instrumental Ensemble
An instrumental collective for students with any musical ability who play an instrument to come together and jam as an ensemble.
Law Club
Law Club members meet to discuss law-related issues, and employment and educational opportunities in the field of law. In addition to club-sponsored speakers and field trips, this club hosts a program for "Law Day" each May addressing a current cutting edge legal issue.
Nonprofit Club
The mission of the Nonprofit Club is to unify 国产哟哟 students to support internal and external community nonprofits with fundraising, and volunteering.
Our club goals are to: work with local Nonprofits (volunteering, food drives, clothing donations, supply collection, fundraising events), raise awareness of local nonprofits the resources available to our community and create and maintain long- lasting relationships between student body and greater campus for community.
Our club needs a diverse group of students to help us make a meaningful impact on the world around us. Make new friends and grow as a professional and individual.
Online Society of Diversity and Cultural Awareness
A passionate coalition of undergraduate students in The American Women's College (TAWC), who strive to cultivate awareness of social justice issues through a virtual community. This group offers an inclusive, online space where diverse student leaders can come to explore current events, embrace global perspectives, and express viewpoints. Our mission is to educate each other about our cultural experiences in an environment respectful of unique differences.
Page Singers
The Page Singers, named for long time Associate Professor of Music, Charles E. Page are a group of select vocalists auditioned from the Chorale each fall and spring. The group appears at annual concerts and functions on campus and specializes in performing diverse and eclectic musical compositions. Page Singer members may be eligible to receive one academic credit per semester.
Psychology Club
Psychology Club's ambition is to provide its members and the 国产哟哟 community with educational and engaging activities which augment the traditional college learning experience. This group meets to discuss current topics in psychology and organize psychology related events on campus.
Rotaract Club
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. Motto: "Service Above Self"
S.A.G.A. Sexuality and Gender Alliance
Our club is striving to create a safe and comfortable environment for those part of the LGBT+ spectrum and those who are allies to those on the spectrum. We welcome all, and hope to educate the campus on what it means to be LGBT+.
Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors are selected through an application process. Ambassadors work closely with the admissions office and represent the College to prospective students by conducting tours, hosting students overnight, and participating in open houses and various school functions.
Student Athletic Advisory Council (SAAC)
The mission of the SAAC at 国产哟哟 is to ensure the well-being of the student athlete at 国产哟哟. We strive to promote efficient communication between the athletic department, the administration and the student-athlete population on and off campus. We address any issues that affect the lives of the student athlete at 国产哟哟. Our goal is to actively encourage student-athlete involvement in campus and community outreach activities.
Student Event Committee
Student Event Committee is a student run organization that plans and runs weekend and weekday events during the school year. These events are open to all 国产哟哟 Students and members of the Cooperating Colleges of Greater Springfield colleges. The Student Events Committee hosts such traditions as Campus Day, Miss 国产哟哟, and Spring Weekend.
Student Government Association
Student Government Association (SGA) is compromised of student-elected officers from all classes and representatives from clubs on campus. Meeting once a week, Student Government strives to build an environment of cooperation and open communications. We sponsor many events open to students and students from the other Cooperating Colleges of Greater Springfield such as Karaoke Night, the Starving Artist Showcase and Munchies Mania during finals.
Theatre Workshop
Theatre Workshop is open to all students interested in all aspects of theater performance both on and off stage. Workshop members learn to build sets, paint, design and run lighting and sound, stage manage, build costumes, develop publicity, run the front of house and much more. Workshop members have the opportunity to participate in four major productions a year and may be eligible to receive one academic credit per semester.
UNICEF
UNICEF is a humanitarian organization in over 190 countries and territories whose biggest priority is putting children first. The organization has helped save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization by providing water, nutrition, sanitation, emergency relief, education, and health care. 国产哟哟’s branch of UNICEF USA supports the organization by fundraising, advocating, and using our education to inform the community in ways that will help create healthier and safe childhoods for the Children of the World.
WiCys Student Chapter
The mission of the WiCyS Student Chapter is to build a community within 国产哟哟 that promotes women’s education, participation, and leadership in the field of cybersecurity.
The WiCyS Student Chapter is organized with the following purposes:
To decrease the gender disparity in cybersecurity.
To provide education, mentorship, and networking support to students through the WiCyS community.
To promote and recruit women in cybersecurity workforce through the Academic Institution.
Women in Business Club
The Women in Business Club inspires women leaders to apply their knowledge gained scholastically in a supportive and welcoming community. We encourage striving effort and stand for the success of women in the field of business. Club members organize and attend events that promote networking, career focus, and women owned or operated businesses. Don't just learn business, live it!

Women of Culture
The mission of Women of Culture is to promote education for all, to strive for global understanding, and cultivate an appreciation and respect for differences among the world's citizens.
Write on Writing Club
The Write On Writing club connects regularly to support and strengthen its members and their ability to write creatively through use of prompt writing, constructive criticism on written work, and encouraging students to submit material for publication. Write On strives to be a club that is a safe and welcoming space for its members of all writing levels.
